We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Sophia Lee Mahendran to The Tooth Doctor team! Dr. Sophia is a caring and gentle general and family dentist, dedicated to helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
With years of clinical experience and a passion for modern dentistry, Dr. Sophia is excited to bring her patient-centered approach back to the North Shore community.
About Dr. Sophia Mahendran
- Graduated from the University of Otago in 2014 (Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Credit).
- Eight years of practicing experience in Ponsonby before returning to the North Shore.
- Provides comprehensive dental care including restorative treatments, composite bonding, veneers, crowns, bridges, and clear aligners.
- Holds a postgraduate diploma in Progressive Orthodontics (offering early orthodontic intervention for children).
- Accredited to provide Botox (Dysport) treatments (therapeutic and aesthetic).
- Passionate about ongoing professional development and mentoring future dentists as a Senior Professional Practice Fellow at the University of
- Otago Auckland Dental School.
- Enjoys connecting with patients and helping them achieve a smile they feel confident in.
